Pre-requisites

You need to have the following pre-requisite knowledge and experience to be a successful candidate:

  • Understanding of on-premises virtualization technologies, including: VMs, virtual networking, and virtual hard disks.

  • Understanding of network configuration, including TCP/IP, Domain Name System (DNS), virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and encryption technologies.

  • Understanding of Active Directory concepts, including domains, forests, domain controllers, replication, Kerberos protocol, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).

  • Understanding of resilience and disaster recovery, including backup and restore operations.

Courses

You will be attending the following courses:

  1. AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals (self-paced for 2 weeks)

  2. AZ-103: Azure Administrator (8 sessions over 4 weeks)

  3. WS-050: Migrate Workloads to Azure (4 sessions over 2 weeks)

  4. Common Cases: Networking & Security (2 sessions over 1 week)

  5. Common Cases: Backup & Recovery (2 sessions over 1 week)

Sponsors

The course is sponsored by Microsoft, and delivered by LGIT Smart Solutions.


Course progress reports are submitted to Microsoft to identify Top Students, Students not progressing, and Students who have dropped out.  These reports will have an impact on whether or not you will be invited to future sponsored training.

Training delivery
  • The instructor-led sessions will be delivered live via Microsoft Teams (no recordings).

  • The track will start on 7 Oct 2019

  • You will be required to attend 16 x 2-hour Microsoft Teams training sessions

  • These training sessions will be delivered in the evenings: 18h00 - 20h00 UCT+2.

  • The track will end on 12 Dec 2019.

  • In addition, you will be given access to online labs, videos and courseware (where available).

Training Schedule
Post-application process

Once this application form has been submitted, you will receive login details for a Readiness online course.  This course will test your basic pre-requisite knowledge, your English comprehension, as well as your level of dedication.


Only when you've successfully completed this Readiness course, will you qualify and be accepted on the Azure Admin track.
