Siyakhula

The word Siyakhula means “We are growing” and it is the intention of the project to do just that – to grow people: students and trainers alike. LGIT Smart Solutions is currently working with Siyakhula, a non-profit organisation, and the project aims not only to bridge gaps in education, but also to build bridges between the previously disparate communities.

The current main focus of the project is to teach basic computer literacy skills to residents of the local Ebony and Ivory Park Communities, many of whom are unemployed. However, as the project expands, new courses are being offered. Our newest course on offer is an Entrepreneurial Skills course, which encourages students to become job creators rather than job seekers, whilst teaching them necessary business skills and life skills.
